Pre-flight, Flight, and Landing Briefing
LISTEN to the pilot and crew and FOLLOW their INSTRUCTIONS.
DO NOT SMOKE in or near the balloon You may not have access to a restroom for two hours from launch time. Be sure to use bathroom facility prior to flight.
STAY CLEAR of INFLATOR FAN during inflation. Do not allow hair, clothing or other loose fitting articles such as jewelry, tags, etc. to get pulled into fan.
ONCE IN THE BASKET,
• DO NOT EXIT UNTIL YOUR PILOT GIVES PERMISSION.
• DO NOT LEAN OUT OF THE BASKET.
• DO NOT DROP ITEMS FROM THE BASKET.
During the flight, you may encounter droplets falling on you from the burner assembly; this is water condensation and is not dangerous or harmful. Do not pull the red vent line rope in the basket Do not touch the burner assembly, fuel hoses, aircraft instruments, or propane tank valves.
Your pilot will point these out. Landings may include a hard, fast, rough impact with the ground. Read and understand the following: Your pilot will instruct you prior to landing: • Stow and secure all personal belongings – This includes cameras.
• Face the direction of travel.
• Hold on tight to the uprights with BOTH hands.
• KEEP YOUR HANDS, ARMS, FEET, and LEGS INSIDE THE BASKET.
Do not allow your hands or feet to get caught between the basket and the ground.
• After landing, DO NOT EXIT THE BASKET until instructed to do so by the pilot. Exiting too early may cause the balloon to rise and may result in injury to others.
• Our Ground crew works hard, and we can’t fly without them, tips are greatly appreciated
